Bio
Now in her 20th year at Barton Community College and beginning her 12th season as head coach of the Cougar cheer program, Amanda Schoebelen continues to lead one of the region’s most spirted and successful squads.
The 2024-25 campaign proved to be another successful year under Schoebelen’s direction. Her team remained highly active across campus and in the community, consistently support Cougar athletics.
On the competition floor, Schnoebelen’s squad claimed the Region 6 Championship in the All-Girl Intermediate Division and went on to earn a seventh-place national finish at the 2025 National Collegiate Cheer Championships held in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Schnoebelen spent her first seven years on the hill, serving as the head dance coach before taking over both spirit squads from 2014 through 2023.
A Great Bend native, Schnoebelen was on the Panther cheer and dance teams, as well as, a member of the Argonne All-Stars Dance team.
Schnoebelen continued her academic and dance career following graduating from Great Bend High School, first as a member of Barton’s Cougar Danz Force before becoming a member of the Wichita State University dance team where she received her bachelor's degree in performing arts/dance.
Gaining valued experience throughout her dance career including the opportunity to dance with many professional choreographers, Schnoebelen has utilized the years of experience in continuing the long standing excellence of the Barton Cheer and Dance programs while also coaching the premier Argonne All-Stars Dance Team.
