Freshman season at Barton
Knight pitched 65 innings for the Cougars as a freshman. He finished the season with a 5.10 ERA and a 5-3 record posting a shutout. Knight was an Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk West pick during the 2003 season.
High School/Club
While attending Maize High School, A.J. was a three-year starter and three-year letterman. He pitched 57 innings with 66 strikeouts and only 12 walks his senior season. Helped Maize to a state runner up finish.
