Bio
Skyler Franklin begins his third year as the head coach of the Barton eSports program, replacing the vacancy of the Cougars’ first and lone head coach of the program Curtis Rose.
In just his second year, Franklin guided Barton to their sixth National Championship and the first under his leadership capturing the Fall Fortnite Championship with a 3-2 victory over Wichita State University Tech. The championship was fashioned behind the trio of standout performances of Cameron Howell, James Kingsbury, and Cole Burtin.
Barton’s fall campaign also included a pair of additional top-three national finishes, earning runner-up honors in Call of Duty Warzone and a third place finish in Call of Duty Gunfight.
Franklin’s program sustained the high level through the spring semester, with all seven teams qualifying with bids to the national tournament. Call of Duty Gunfight led the spring campaign with a 16-3 overall record, finishing third nationally.
